Lilith manbarks

Lilith went manbarking today. Up at the top of the cemetery, a man waved us
away, wanting to park where we were standing, as I talked to a fellow
walker. (...

are you referring to Ft. Hood? Your messages here were so disturbing I went straight to msnbc.com and found awfulness there.
Living in KS has taught me the limitations of self-blame. Many people you can trust to make life-wrecking blunders on their own ,but an unfortunate few just get caught up in the undertow of others' lack of awareness and good judgment.
I rest my case.

actually, no, I wasn't thinking of that. Just Americans generally. But now that you mention it - if you have no tradition (or conception) of collective action (esp. against authority), and life becomes unbearable, then what do you do? This, of course, is what's the matter with Kansas, too - why the politics of resentment thrives here.
